We are currently looking for a Travel Planner to work for a major automotive organisation based in West Midlands

Job Title: Travel Planner

Experience: Significant experience in the field of travel planning gained at either a transport consultancy, Local/ Combined Authority or large employer

Location: West Midlands

Rate: From £21.00 to £23.64 per Hour Ltd Co.

Hours: 40 Hours Per Week

The Role:

*To be Travel Planner for the companies UKs non-manufacturing sites

*You will manage staff travel plan delivery and development, under take staff surveys, develop strategy and undertake periodic reviews of each site travel plan as well as liaising with internal and external stakeholders to enhance and address all aspects of travel at each of your designated sites.

*You will work with the Transport Team to organise promotional events for promoting sustainable travel at non-manufacturing sites.

*You will manage the contract for the Park & Ride schemes operated by the company which serve these sites and be lead on promoting Lift shares at these sites.

*Non-Manufacturing Sites are covering West Midlands and Warwickshire

Skills Required:

3 KEY SKILLS REQUIRED:

1) Significant experience in the field of travel planning gained at either a transport consultancy, Local/ Combined Authority or large employer

2) Experience of leading on the coordination and delivery of sustainable travel campaigns, projects and initiatives as identified by a travel plan as required through a planning condition.

3)Experience of data collation and assessment along with associated IT skills;

Experience Required:

*Significant experience in the field of travel planning gained at either a transport consultancy, Local/ Combined Authority or large employer

*Undertaking travel surveys and data assessments to identify trends, gaps and opportunities to develop evidence led site travel strategy

*Developing and delivering travel plans and any other associated documents which are approved by Local Planning Authorities;

*Experience of leading on the coordination and delivery of sustainable travel campaigns, projects and initiatives as identified by a travel plan.

*Knowledge of contemporary national travel policy / guidance and key stakeholders

*Knowledge of the travel challenges and opportunities for a major employer

*Contract management and KPI monitoring

*Strong professional network and profile within the travel planning sector

*Experience of developing successful funding bids to local / national government bodies

*Knowledge of car share schemes, experience of Park & Ride schemes

*Experience of writing Travel Plans, undertaking regular reviews and associated surveys

*Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written with strong I.T Skills including Microsoft Office

*Produce and deliver high quality presentations to differing audiences

*Ability to plan multiple work streams to meet agreed deadlines and targets

*To undertake and attend meetings on behalf of the company with internal / external stakeholders

*Ability to undertake business travel reflecting national locations of company UK sites

*An individual with the ability to challenge existing thinking in a positive way whilst building credibility and trust through experience and personal style
