Design Engineer - Electrical Consumer Goods - Nuneaton - Up to GBP40k DOE

The business offers a stable and long trading history and is recognised for the innovative products it develops and brings to market, a genuine leader in its product ranges and markets. The companies product range could be categorised as domestic white goods and applicants with experience of white good manufacturing would be of particular interest in this case.

As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will be designing the internal configuration of new products as well as making improvements to the existing product range. In simple terms the creative team design the aesthetics and external casings and you will design, specify and arrange the internal components. These components will include domestic voltage electrical components and fluid management for water supply.

Because of the electrical and water based components applicants with prior experience in this area will be of particular interest. We are keen to speak with Engineers that offer working knowledge and experience of dimensional design, electrical wiring regulations, fluid dynamics/mechanics, dimensional sizing and plastic injection moulded parts or components.

Applicants that have worked on the design of most white goods, lawn mowers, water coolers or similar will have worked on similar systems. All 2D and 3D design work is done in SolidWorks and so applicants will need to be proficient in this software.

In return you will be rewarded with a competitive salary, life assurance, free parking, a matched pension over 4%, a 35.25 hour working week and access to a fantastic on site subsidised canteen.
