An opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join our clients Finance Team in its Business Service Centre in Birmingham. Whilst the Business Service Centre is currently located in Yardley, relocation to Birmingham City Centre is happening in the near future. This is an important role in which you will be part of a team of two, responsible for delivering a high performing and customer focused treasury management service.

A typical day will include:

· Timely resolution of supplier queries.

· Maintaining accurate supplier accounts.

· Continual internal financial controls process improvement.

· Working together with other corporate departments such as Facilities, IT and operational site stakeholders.

· Ensuring all supplier invoices are promptly submitted to the invoice scan and data capture team

· Ensuring the workflow invoice approval process is operating effectively, and to promptly resolve any process management exceptions

About you:

You must have the following qualifications and experience:

Accounts payable transaction processing experience including both PO and Non-PO invoices.

Experience of Microsoft Dynamics AX (or other ERP system) desirable.

Excellent MS Office Skills, especially Excel (vlookups, Pivot Tables).

Organisational skills, ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines.

Proven high accuracy and speed.

Attention to detail when performing tasks and reviews.

Strong numeracy skills.

Strong communication skills with both finance and non-finance personnel.

Strong service ethos.

Flexibility during peak, busy periods.

Month end process experience.
