A local authority are looking for an Assistant Manager within Community Equipment & Wheelchair Services to provide operational support to the Manager on the implementation of agreed and approved actions arising from the current service development plans and ensure that delivery is within the agreed timescales and allocated budget.
This will primarily focus on a programme of health & safety management tasks across two sites (Better Living Centre and Starley Way -1 mile apart) and initiating and completing a schedule of risk assessments relating to warehousing, transport, buildings management and service delivery. Other key duties:

To establish an effective system of infection control at the Equipment Decontamination & Refurbishment Unit in Starley Way.

To co-ordinate the planned maintenance schedule for the BLC and Starley Way unit, including buildings, facilities and work equipment.

To initiate and progress repair work required to the BLC and Starley Way unit buildings, facilities and work equipment.

To co-ordinate and/or undertake the CEWS Audit & Inspection programme as directed by the Manager.

To provide line management of CEWS operational personnel (drivers, warehouse staff) in the absence of, or as directed by, the CEWS Manager.

This position is based in Elmdon Trading Estate, B37 7HE working Monday-Friday 37 hours a week. Immediate start with the potential of a temp to perm opportunity.
