We are currently recruiting for an experienced GRP product manager for our client who is based in Kingswinford and are a market leading supplier of electrical materials and components to the electricity sector. Established for 15 years their clients include the UK's largest operators and construction companies in the industry.

The company are expanding their marketing operations to promote new product ranges and has recently developed new offices to accommodate this expansion. Having experienced recent company growth they are now looking for a confident and outgoing individual to join their team.

The role of GRP Product Manager is vital to the development of the company. They are seeking an individual who is passionate, and will work with the team to drive the sales of the GRP product range. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a large volume of products at a consistently high level, developing the sales of new ranges and managing projects with clients. You will be expected to identify new business opportunities for the company, and work with other members of the sales and management team to support the effective conversion of opportunities into sales.

The post holder will need to constantly review market trends to identify new business opportunities, develop new and current supplier relationships and drive cost efficiencies for the business.

Experience of previous product development would be beneficial. Knowledge or a track record of successfully selling industrial or building products would be of value together with sound commercial acumen to understand and consider the impact of their decisions on the wider business.

Responsibilities

- Promote and develop the various product ranges.
- Achieve KPI's and Sales targets.
- Contact new and existing customer accounts to introduce yourself and the company.
- Identify and build a database of new key contacts who either buy or who influence buying decisions.
- Effectively explain and communicate company and products information.
- Obtain critical customer and competitor information
- Identify customer needs and sales opportunities.
- Clearly and efficiently communicate opportunities to and liaise with other members of the sales team.
- Build strong rapport and relationships with key contacts.
- Maintain and update the contact management system to accurately record account information, activity and set future tasks.
- Support marketing campaigns with follow up action.
- Maintain high awareness and knowledge of the industry.
- Maintain and manage your own account development plans.

In return, you will be offered a competitive basic salary £22,000 - £24,000 with an excellent bonus scheme which will start after your first 6 months within the role
