As an Assistant Finance Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that you support the finance leadership and budget control for managing a safe and efficient finance function for Tradeteam. To provide accounting governance support and guidance to the business, as well as supporting a strong and dynamic financial reporting suite. To support the stock ownership function, and drive improvements to the processes on an ongoing basis

Key Responsibilities in this role will include:

Provide financial governance and support as a senior business partner.
Identify, recommend and drive solutions to minimise financial and commercial risk and improve efficiency, profitability and cash flow.
Support the communication of changes in financial requirements and implementation
Work with internal & external partners and customers to foster collaboration, networking and best practice.
Support the strategic direction of the business and the associated initiatives.
Influence financial strategies, plans and targets to develop existing and new business.
Assist the implementation and monitoring of robust financial solutions, to optimise profit and minimise associated risk.
Support the preparation of financial reports, models, budgets and forecast working with other stakeholders (e.g. CRE, HR, IT, etc.) to ensure profit optimisation & risk mitigation.
Help improvement programmes to aid business efficiency and profitability.
Support the Financial Controller in ensuring financial governance and ethical standards are maintained and communicated.
Support financial reporting and forecasting to aid decision making and monitor progress.
Support adherence to DPDHL business compliance, policies and procedures.
Support the implantation of DPDHL accounting standards & other relevant policies
Assist and develop financial expertise in the business creating financial best practice.
Help management reporting agenda within Tradeteam
Support Stock Ownership solution ,ensuring all controls in place
Support accounting governance adherance in Tradeteam, acting as a subject matter expert

Key skills and experience in this role will include:

Relevant experience (such as logistics, key business sectors, competitor or customer organisations).
See core DPDHL competencies.
Commercial and financial experience.
Ideally part Qualified Accountant ICAEW or CIMA or ACCA or equivalent.
