Food Production Operative
We are looking to employ a full-time Preparation Operative at our site in Derby. The ideal candidate will be working in chilled/wet food environment, preparing vegetables as per customer orders.
This is a full-time vacancy working 5 out of 6 days (Monday – Saturday), with a day off in the week. You will work from 8am until finish of duties (approx. 4pm), although finish times may vary.
Responsibilities and Duties
To work effectively as part of a team
To prepare vegetables using appropriate tools/machinery efficiently and safely.
Prepare vegetables to the standard and volumes as specified by the manager.
Minimalize waste from over preparation and over production.
Accurately weigh and package prepared vegetables.
To keep a clean working environment at all times.
Date stamp and rotate stock.
Take reasonable care for your own health and safety.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for candidates who are willing to undertake other duties if needed and act in the company’s best interest at all times.
You will be hard-working and determined.
Attention to detail and a quality driven attitude is essential.
Experience of working in a food production area is desirable.
You will be able to read and count accurately.
You must be capable of standing for extended periods of time.
The ability to follow directions is extremely important.
You must have a sense of urgency about you to meet productivity output.
