Position: Test & Development Engineer

Location: Warwick

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Responsibilities and duties within the role:

* Responsible to deliver Design Validation Plans (DVP) activities & to provide Technical advice/coordination on company projects
* To prepare for, conduct and report testing of vehicles, bodies and rigs to validate product design
* Hands on approach when required for vehicle rectification, fault finding, setting up of tests
* Responsible to analyse and interpret post-test data
* Compile technical reports in a concise and timely manner
* Coordination of test projects from concept through to completion
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail

Essential Experience:

* Broad experience in working in cross functional teams to drive product development and a demonstrate ability to influence direction of design based on test results
* Execute internal/external tests and validation activities
* Broad experience in working in cross functional teams to drive product development and a demonstrate ability to influence direction of design based on test results
* Able to design and build test rigs to validate product design
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and various data logging software
* Ability to understand and extract information from engineering standards
* Ability to interrogate CAD data, reading drawings and schematics
* First point of contact for tests, must able to react and resolve issues effectively whilst ensuring timing plan/costs are not compromised
* Ability to provide sound, reasoned proposals/resolutions for further product improvement

Desirable Experience:

* Understanding of vehicles structures, vehicle dynamics and systems e.g. electrics and hydraulics
* Problem solving tools and methodology (Six sigma, 8d, 5Y)
* Familiar with DFMEA and MATLAB

Education and Qualifications:

* Minimum degree qualified in Engineering or equivalent, if no degree then candidates with exceptional experience will be considered
* 3 years minimum relevant experience
