Key Account Manager - Rail Industry
Basic £60k plus, Company car, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
A world leading engineering company with a reputation for innovative solutions for the Rolling Stock market.
Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Director this key position provides an exciting opportunity to drive customer satisfaction in support of a market leading organisation.

The Role

Build strong client relationships, ensuring that key opportunities are identified to ensure targets and objectives for growth are achieved.
Establish and maintain a detailed understanding of client and market sectors and specific clients, ensuring the business is best placed to present its solutions through developing and delivering winning proposals.
Position company to secure succcessful conversion of opportunities and contract awards.
Successfully identify and deliver sales opportunities to the business taking responsibility for profit margins at point of order receipt and delivery of the order intake plan.
Accurate preparation of Key Account Plans, Capture strategy, Sales Pipeline etc.
Develop and deliver customer relationship initiatives including workshops, product development initiatives etc.
Co-ordinate negotiation and winning of business in line with strategic objectives.

The Candidate

Able to demonstrate commercial and financial acumen.
Able to demonstrate persuasive and influential negotiation techniques in a customer-facing environment and bid management.
Pragmatic team player capable of taking ownership and making things happen. Self confident and able to demonstrate excellent face-to-face communication skills.
A result orientated and target driven personality who has the credibility to relate to customers on a technical level.
A strong communicator at all levels able to understand the bigger picture and work with various departments within the company to make things happen.
Experienced in leading and managing multiple tasks and projects in a timely and efficient manner.
Accomplished in "front line" deal negotiations within the Energy or Aerospace industry.
