This World Class 1st Tier Automotive Manufacturer are recruiting NOW for a Resident Engineer to be based on site at JLR in Gaydon and be the day to day liaison on all project activities. You will be the Primary Engineering Representative based within JLRs Engineering Centre. You will be degree qualified and ideally from BIW. This is a days position and offers a competitive salary, excellent pension, 25 days holiday + stats

The Role:-

- Day to day liaison on all project activities
- Support R&D through concise communication of program data for the generation of concept designs and concern solutions
- Support the programme management structure and gateway requirements
- Understand Automotive OEM Product Development Systems
- Liaise with BIW Engineering departments throughout the development process cycle and provide an integrated service back to he program teams
- Liaise with Manufacturing Engineering to assist in concept / production ready design & development requirements
- Lead and support customer reviews throughout the project lifecycle
- Ability to manipulate, view and understand CAD data and Engineering drawings

The Suitable Candidate:-

- Degree qualified within a Engineering subject or equivalent
- Ideally a Resident Engineer / Project Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer from an Automotive Engineering background.
- Experience of liaising with customers
- Experience of delivering major development programmes within time and budget constraints
- Have an understanding of manufacturing techniques associated with products being developed; forging, bending, assembly, pressing, tooling and welding processes
- Able to speak Spanish would be advantageous
- Strong team working skills
- Ability to understand, interpret and act upon customer feedback
