SEN Primary Teaching Assistant - Birmingham - September Start

Are you a psychology or SEN0 graduate with a 2:1 or first class honours degree?

Are you experienced in removing barriers to learning that SEN pupils face?

Would you like to gain invaluable experience, working as a teaching assistant, within a primary school environment as a foundation to teacher training or educational psychology?

Based just to the south of Birmingham city centre, this relatively small but excellent, primary school is looking for a first rate graduate to provide support and assistance to their pupils with special educational needs as an SEN Teaching Assistant. The role will commence after the summer holiday at the start of the new academic year.
The school need support with pupils who have a range of needs including emotional, developmental and behaviour. Practical and theoretical knowledge of ADHD, ASD, Asperger's and dyslexia will be welcomed as well as any previous experience or training in PECS and Makaton.

The ideal graduate Teaching Assistant must be passionate and committed about a future career as a primary school teacher or educational psychologist, in return the school offer a continuous development programme and unparalleled support from the colleagues and management.
