RP Analytics currently have an exciting opportunity to join a Midlands based client, one of the largest providers of transport in Europe. They are looking to recruit a Commercial Analyst working in the Midlands and Shires Region, you will help support the customer proposition for over 70 million customer journeys a year throughout the East & West Midlands, Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire by providing key insight and intelligence derived from your in-depth analysis, report writing skills and inquisitive mind!
The commercial offer our client provides to customers is core to the success of their business and this role is central in ensuring they meet the customer's needs in an efficient and cost effective manner, whilst realising the growth central to the company vision.
As Commercial Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the business through reporting, forecasting, analysis and providing insight to performance to ensure delivery against budgets, forecasts and medium term plans.
This is a brand new role as part of a huge drive to make the organisation even more data and insight driven! Therefore it provides an enormous opportunity and platform for the driven, ambitious analyst to truly show what they can achieve!
As a highly numerate and analytically minded team player, you must be able to identify opportunities and threats to their performance from large data sets and be able to articulate these different messages to internal audiences.
Whilst attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines is essential, the willingness to use the interpretation and insight of their data to challenge the status quo and consider fresh approaches to developing the business are equally as important.
You must have proven experience of analysis in a commercial environment with the ability to make informed recommendations and decisions in a commercial sense based upon the insights produced. THIS IS ESSENTAIL
Highly systems literate.
Advanced Excel skills are essential whilst knowledge of Access plus other analysis tools would be an advantage.
