As a system engineer you are responsible for undertaking the functional design activities in the early stages of the feature definition. These activities provide a consistent systems engineering approach to support the delivery of user/customer requirements specifications in form of documents and models into a system requirements specification. By using model-based systems engineering techniques, the team contributes to the overall understanding of the expected feature functionality.
This position includes the following tasks: System Requirements Specification and Design - carrying out a full range of functional analysis and investigations, preparing customer requirements specifications and developing functional designs. System Functional and Physical Architecture. Design Verification and Validation against customer requirements.
Good relevant experience of working in a Systems Engineering environment - ideally within the Automotive Sector - minimum 3 years.
Model based systems engineering (MBSE).
Requirements Management (RM)
Ideally degree qualified or equivalent.
Good verbal and written communications.
Analytical and problem solving skills.
Track record as an effective team player with strong interpersonal skills.
Experience in SysML / IBM Rational Rhapsody / IBM Rational DOORS.
Relevant experience of system definition, system architecture development, requirements capture, design/performance modelling, systems integration, system assessment and acceptance.
Project management skills.
Experience in Embedded Systems and Systems of Systems development.
Preference for 5 years of relevant experience.
