Bookkeeper required for award winning busy practice based in Stratford-upon-Avon town centre. The successful candidate will have experience in an office environment and preferably practice experience.

The successful candidate must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and must be proficient in Excel. The successful candidate will ideally have a good working knowledge of Xero. However, if they have experience with an alternative cloud based accounting software then training on Xero can be arranged. This opportunity will suit someone who is looking to work Mon-Fri between 20-25 hours per week.

Duties:

  • Entering supplier invoices onto Xero, FreeAgent and Sage either manually or via a scanned document using either ReceiptBank or Datamolino software.
  • Creating purchase orders and submitting same to suppliers on behalf of clients.
  • Creating a spreadsheet analysis of client's credit card statements.
  • Entering sales invoices onto the accounting software either manually or scanned using Datamolino or AutoEntry software.
  • Uploading of bank statements in accounting software via CSV file or by PDF using AutoEntry software.
  • Responsible for keeping client files up to date and paperwork filed accordingly along with general office filing.
  • Allocating receipts and payments via the bank and reconciling bank accounts on relevant software.
  • Responsible for the office petty cash, reconciliation of the petty cash float and posting receipts onto accounts software.
  • Answering of the telephones and fielding / directing calls to the relevant member of staff. Recording competent messages and delivery thereof and assisting with client queries.
  • Responsible for contacting clients to obtain paperwork or request information when processing queries arise.
  • Greeting all visitors and responsible for making drinks for visitors and other members of staff and arranging lunch / sandwiches for client meetings etc.
  • Emptying of the post box daily.
  • Responsible for general office and client banking.
