Our client formulates, manufactures and sells a range of high performance resin and polymer compounds, based on Epoxy resin, Polyurethane and Silicone raw materials.
MAIN DUTIES To ensure that jobs are completed on time & as per the production plan.
To ensure that operations are carried out as specified on the job cards & that all materials are accurately identified, checked, weighed, loaded, decanted & labelled.
To ensure job cards are accurately filled in & all relevant sections of the job cards are completed.
To conduct testing on manufactured product to ensure it meets the required specification.
To report any findings that are outside of the guideline specification, to the quality manager.
To ensure that historic mixing problems are not repeated.
To ensure that materials & vessels are palletised, stored in the correct locations & that all goods are in a fit condition for sale.
To ensure the correct rotation of stock is implemented - first in, first out. No build-up of part tins.
To ensure that the machinery & production areas are kept clean & that all drums are taken out & tools put away at the end of the day.
To try to improve efficiency through improved working practises & to ensure production procedures are followed correctly.
To provide cover in either production or despatch departments as and when required.
To ensure that products are picked correctly, in terms of product code, product quantity and product size, as is necessary.
To ensure goods are packed and labelled correctly, and make all relevant critical checks.
To assist with training other new members of staff within the department as required.
To maintain good housekeeping at all times, and ensure work areas are kept clean and free from obstruction.
Individuals should be numerate, literate and able to use a computer. They should be able to communicate clearly with staff at all levels of the company and should be able to work without supervision (after training is complete). They should be self-motivated and able to work as part of a team.
