My client is looking for an ambitious optical assistant looking to take the plunge into their first role in management.
They are recruiting someone who has passion and drive for optics and wants a career where they can grow with the company.
They are recruiting for either an experienced optical assistant or someone already in a more senior role who is looking to take on more responsibility.
Responsibilities of the Assistant Manager
The role will entail the day to day management of the contact lens department as well as some responsibility towards the hear care centre.
You will liaise with your practice manager on a daily basis with emphasis on the smooth running of the departments and looking at potential improvements to add value and service to customer.
Requirements of an Assistant Manager
*You do not have to be in a management position at the moment as this role would suit a strong optical assistant looking for their first step in management and serious about a career changing move.
You will however need to be competent with all areas of contact lenses and have strong communication and interpersonal skills. Have a friendly demeanour and be approachable.
Compensation for the Assistant Manager role
For the role my client is offering a competitive salary up to GBP19,000 basic dependent on experience with 28 days holidays inc. bank holidays to start.
