RP Analytics are delighted to be working with one of the UKs leading retailers to find a Head of Business Intelligence to be based in the East Midlands.

The Role:

You'll be working for one of Britain's most loved brands, supported by a team of dedicated retail experts and wider team to ensure all customers are pleased and happy with their products as well as online and eCommerce experiences. You will be tasked with further strengthening the team, delivering on the clients promise to remain at the forefront of the British consumers mind and in their hearts. You must be focused, driven and ultimately a Business Intelligence leader! The role will be instrumental in the continued success of both eCommerce and store operations and will use internal and external data and intelligence to create permanent solutions that will enable the client to continually exceed expectations of their thousands of loyal customers!

To be successful you will influence the day to day decision making as well as the more complex strategic decisions relating to Category, Finance, Sales and Digital functions!
You'll be responsible for recommending price and promotion strategy, you'll develop and manage modelling tools that provide tracking and monitoring for these areas.
The role will be a key link between the Retail team and the Finance team with regards to the trade spend, inputs into annual planning and ongoing financial reporting.

Job Responsibilities

  • Retail Business Intelligence
  • Shopper data management and analysis
  • Retail performance tracking (KPI's, Store BPI, Traffic measures i.e. footfall and conversion. Sales measures i.e. transactions, average transaction value, category profitability etc. Shopper journey i.e. layout performance, mystery shop, and the implementation of defined trade activities, etc.)
  • Digital insight tracking working with key Digital stakeholders (KPI's. Traffic measures i.e. page views, unique/ repeat visits and session duration. Sales measures i.e. conversion and exit rate. Shopper journey and experience i.e. geolocation and click path).
  • Advise on price and promotion activity, evaluation and ROI.
  • Analysis of Trade Investments
  • Developing/managing/monitoring company reporting tools
  • Provide an ongoing Monthly Datapack providing KPI tracking, and insight across all Retail specific measures - Sales, Spend, Payroll, Property costs, Capex - set for Budget/SAF1/SAF2 and Tasks.
