An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Procurement Manager to join a successfully growing SME Manufacturing company based in Hereford. Key Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for heading up the Procurement for both low value, high volume products (approx. 12000 SKU's)
  • Responsible for delivering an average of 55% GP for their products through efficient procurement
  • Build supplier relationships with all key suppliers and brands through visits and audits.
  • Monitor and assess suppliers continually
  • Develop own label brand in conjunction with Asian and Middle East manufacturers.
  • Run an annual tender process for core product lines
  • Approve suppliers and set up SLA's
  • Work with Sales and Marketing department and set company pricing structures and promotional campaigns
  • Manage a team up to 3 purchasing assistant

    Key Skills and Experience:

  • Preferably CIPS Level 4 Diploma or relevant experience within the construction, manufacturing or engineering industry
  • Proven experience of cost savings in previous positions and previous tender experience within procurement and supply chain
  • Whilst previous management experience is ideal if you are looking for that next step into a management position you will still be considered for this role
  • Excellent communication skills especially in Negotiation, Persuading and Influencing
  • You must have excellent organisational skills and be able to deliver results and meet quality expectations
