Based in Birmingham my client primary school is keen to recruit two Graduate Learning Support Assistants for the start of the new academic year in September. The school, a two form entry primary, is looking for exceptional graduates that are able to support learning across the key stages in numeracy and literacy.

Located just to the south of Birmingham this averaged sized primary school benefits from a diverse mix of pupils, a warm caring and friendly atmosphere and a team of dedicated teaching and support staff. The school is easily reached via excellent public transport links from most parts of the city.

As a Learning Support Assistant you will be tasked, primarily, with adding numeracy at Key Stage 2. In addition you will be expected to provide support to class teachers in all aspects of curriculum delivery. Candidates will be expected to support both the high and low achievers in school, and will be working and supporting the gifted and talented, as well as pupils who require support to obtain the required attainment levels.

Candidates must be able to form strong working relationships with both students and the class teacher. Candidates need to be extremely flexible, organised with the ability to use their initiative rather than waiting to be told what to do next. They need to be committed to a career in education and want to fully immerse themselves in school life, thus maximising the benefit to the pupils and at the same time their own experience.

If you're a graduate and would welcome the opportunity to support primary pupils with numeracy at Key stage 2 then please email a copy of your CV to Patrick at Edustaff today.

Please note only successful candidates will be contacted.
