Proactive Personnel are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of their client for a Marketing Executive in Brownhills.

This is an exciting opportunity for a marketing executive to continue their career within a well established organisation. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 months experience and have an understanding of the disciplines required to drive traffic to retail websites .

The Role:

Plans and implements the company's marketing activities, managing budgets and providing reports on campaign effectiveness. Produces marketing content using design tools. Conducts market research, contributes to pricing policy and product offering. Maintains the company website including adding and updating product information. Manages third party e-commerce channels and social media profiles. Adheres to company policies and procedures including Health and Safety.

  • Conduct market research including marker and competitor pricing competitor analysis;
  • Create marketing campaigns and manage budgets;
  • Produce and update marketing materials, including company catalogues, leaflets, posters, flyers, newsletters (using design tools such as CorelDraw)
  • Arrange the effective distribution of marketing materials;
  • Liaise with designers and printers;
  • Create and proofread copy;
  • Update product information and content on the website including creating product images;
  • Investigate and report any technical issues arising with the website;
  • Liaise with internal and external development / technical resources;
  • Manage and administer third party sales channels i.e. eBay, Amazon and investigate new sales channels e.g. Facebook;
  • Managing day to day social media implementation e.g. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and maintain company blog;
  • Investigate, evaluate and assess new ways of generating additional traffic / orders;
  • Produce reports to analyse the effectiveness of all marketing campaigns and promotions (via Orderwise reports, web reports, Google Analytics etc);
  • Stay abreast of ecommerce technologies and trends through trade associations and technical blogs;
  • Achieve departmental KPI targets including ROI objectives;
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure customer requirements are met;
  • Use company IT systems effectively and accurately maintain company records;
  • Attend sales meetings and training sessions where required;
  • Undertake any other reasonable requests for work as assigned;

Experience / Qualifications:

  • Marketing degree or minimum 12 months experience working in industry in a relevant role
  • Understanding of the disciplines required to drive traffic to retail websites (ppc, email marketing, link generation, online PR, SEO, offline marketing and PR, affiliate programmes, etc)
  • Advanced ability to write and edit relevant content and excellent proofreading skills
  • Understand of order management / customer fulfilment in an ecommerce context
  • Experience using design packages such as CorelDraw or Photoshop
  • Experience of Magento ecommerce platform
  • Experience of third party selling platforms including eBay, Amazon, Facebook
  • IT literate and understand of basic web technologies (FTP, browsers, basic HTML, data files)
  • Familiar with databases and data management
  • Understand of Google products including webmaster tools, analytics and Adwords
  • Self starter with excellent problem solving skills
  • Able to work effectively and unsupervised
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Competent in MS Office or Open Office
  • Temporary to Permanent contract, Monday - Friday 42.5 hours, GBP8p/h +
