About the role
The candidate must have excellent attention to detail and a proven ability to be able to interpret client briefs from the job's inception to print-ready artwork that meet the group's needs. They must also be highly organised and able to manage a variety of tasks and deliver work to strict deadlines whilst under pressure. You will be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and have a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Email and web asset creation experience is required and part of the role.
You will be responsible for the daily production of marketing materials, emails and web assets for all our external and internal groups, ensuring that they adhere to the group's requirements whilst meeting our brand standards. Our trading groups, which include food retail, travel, healthcare, energy, childcare, funeral services, flexible benefits and our internal business support groups. You will report directly to the Design Studio Manager.
Occasionally, however, situations may arise within the role that require the post holder to perform other duties or tasks that are deemed reasonable requests by The business.
Key Responsibilities
The post holder shall:
*Take personal responsibility for production and proof reading of their own work and share responsibility with the Account Co-ordinator to ensure that all work is prioritised and completed to set deadlines
*Design marketing materials for all trading groups and internal business support groups where required, working to strict deadlines in order for jobs to be completed on time
*Design email assets and build emails in the Adestra system and also where required produce web assets, web banners and social media assets, whilst working to strict deadlines so jobs are completed and sent out on time
*Produce work to the required standard taking personal responsibility for quality control and attention to detail
*Where required, order printed marketing materials ensuring that the quality of work is print-ready and that delivery is made within set deadlines
*Maintain regular contact with Account Co-ordinators/key stakeholders for updates on current jobs to ensure briefs/amendments are acted upon to provide an efficient and effective service
*Take equal responsibility to ensure Society Marketing meets its agreed service level agreements (SLA's)
*Take responsibility for providing excellent customer service to meet our targeted CLI (Customer Loyalty Index) score
*Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts or omissions at work
*In addition, all employees are expected to work within the terms of their contract of employment and adhere to Society policies and procedures
About the Candidate
You will have a relevant degree/qualification in Graphic Design and have at least two years current experience working within a busy design/marketing environment, which should be demonstrated in your portfolio. You will be fully proficient in using Adobe Creative Suite particularly in Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Acrobat Professional. You will have experience of creating email, web and social media assets.
The candidate will be used to working under pressure as part of a team and occasionally on their own initiative to solve working problems. Candidates will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and have a high standard of personal appearance, while being very customer focused and promoting team co-operation. Candidates are required to be punctual and reliable as an employee of the business.
