This role is working for a national contract catering company - it is based in a Education site - An enhanced DBS will be required for this post. They are recruiting for an experienced Chef Manager to join this busy education site.

Responsibilities of role

- Managing the Catering offering with a catering team of 5
- Serving customers in a busy restaurant in an educational establishment
- Be responsible for achieving monthly KPI'S and budgeted GP
- Responsibilities include customer service, cooking and preparation duties, managing stock levels and using touchscreen tills
- Managing a team on site to ensure an efficient and professional service is given at all times
- Ensuring exceptional presentation and service of food items and beverages at all times
- To promote first-rate customer relations in a professional manner taking personal responsibility for delivering excellence
- Ensuring all health and safety processes are in place, and the well-being and safety of all team members is seen as a priority
- Provide and maintain an efficient service under all areas of your control, following company values, policies and procedures

The ideal candidate will

- Have worked as a Chef Manager within higher education or a business and industry site
- Have passion and enthusiasm for fresh food and great service
- Be driven by excellence and attention to detail with a flair for presentation
- Be naturally outgoing and energetic with an ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Demonstrate confidence with a 'Can do' attitude
- Demonstrate high standards of appearance and dress at all times
