A bright and ambitious communicator is needed to play a senior role in small but busy and dynamic team at the Gaydon office in Warwickshire.
The Internal Communications function provides a service to all UK business areas which plans, defines, creates, delivers and measures key communications engagement activity across all business areas, using multiple channels and engagement platforms from events through to eDM.Key Requirements Strategic·Work with the UK Internal Communications Manager in the development and implementation of the new Internal Communications Strategy, ensuring it is fully integrated with and supportive of the wider business plan, organisational change and associated planning processes·Lead on all content development to include script writing for print, digital and video communication ·Support the on-going development of the Retailer Portal, Retailer database, UK NSC intranet and associated processes ·Measure the successes and areas of improvement for communications Writing skills·Write simple, creative and engaging copy to an extremely high standard and in a variety of styles – headlines, short fillers, teasers, longer features, scripts to very tight deadlines·Create clear, practical, action-focused content for a variety of audiences – to engage internal employees and Retailers·Edit other stakeholder’s content to an extremely high grammatical standard applying consistent format and tone of voiceInternal·Provide a key service to the UK NSC by being a filter through which all internal communications should flow·Liaise with all the UK NSC departments, including Directors, to ensure Internal Communications provided are in line with UK business needs·Liaise with Global Internal Communications Team to ensure the UK strategy aligns with the Global business needs·Work closely with the Internal Communications Manager on the content preparation for internal and Retailer network events ·Liaise with the Internal Communications agency on a weekly basis·Provide communications support on an ad hoc basis to the MD and First Line e.g. creation of specific communications presentation materials ·Oversee new product launches through complimentary Internal Communications activity (bespoke events, emails, launch newsletters etc.)Line Management ·Work closely with the Internal Communications Manager and agency, supporting the personal development for line reports Key qualities:·An excellent track record in an Internal Communications role is essential with exceptional written and verbal communication skills·Friendly, approachable and flexible with the ability to build rapport with a variety of stakeholders and influence management and senior leaders to Director level·Proven experience of developing and delivering internal communications strategy ·Experience working with broader communications colleagues in the likes of press, digital and editorial, Copywriting, research and editing experience (for both print and digital media)·Self-motivated, confident and meticulous attention to detail with the ability to stay calm under pressure·Strong, proven project management abilities – well organised with the ability to keep track of multiple projects at one time ·Strong computer literacy including Microsoft (inc. PowerPoint) and experience of content management systems an advantage and interest in new technology
