NCT is the UK’s largest charity for parents, providing invaluable support and information for new and expectant parents. NCT College, in partnership with the University of Worcester (UW) develops and delivers training and professional development opportunities in parenting education. We offer the only university-accredited qualification for parenting education.

The Education Administrator is a vital role working with the tutors, NCT College managers and other administrators, as well as the appropriate staff at the University of Worcester.

The post aims provide the support needed to make the application, registration and exam submission process a straightforward and positive experience for NCT students at the University of Worcester and for tutors delivering NCT programmes.

You will undertake administrative duties such as setting up the programme information, updating and maintaining student data, updating University of Worcester and NCT systems with student status, coordination of student study days and other days as required, running regular reports and supporting the admissions process as required.

This role requires someone with excellent written and oral communication skills who can liaise between Worcester staff, the NCT education administration team as well as tutors and students.

Skills, knowledge and experience required:


Ability to work under own initiative
Track record of excellent administrative skills
Strong organisational skills
Strong IT skills especially Word & Excel, including experience of Excel function and charts
Experience in using databases and data management, including generating reports
Excellent oral and written communication skills and inter-personal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
A flexible approach and available to work during some school holidays and at other busy times (the holidays required to work will be confirmed at interview)


Understanding of NCT’s work in the transition to parenthood
Experience of working in an academic setting
Able to travel to NCT Offices in London and Bristol very occasionally

The role is 21 hours per week (equivalent to 3 days per week - but could be worked over more days).

Please note that whilst this role is working at the University of Worcester, you will be employed by NCT.

Interviews will be held w/c 28th August at the University of Worcester.
