We are currently recruiting for a BBO Project Worker on a fixed term contract until October 2019 for two days per week.

Our mission is to empower those we support to set their own goals and vision, realise their full potential and live free from discrimination, equipped with the confidence and skills to contribute to the communities in which they live.

Summit Support (SS) has been supporting people in Dudley and Sandwell since 1992.  Working with a number of diverse communities we support people in recovery from drug and alcohol abuse, people living with HIV and the LGBTQIA communities.  Those we support suffer multiple disadvantages, many come from the most deprived communities and often face discrimination and social exclusion in their day to day lives.  Out of our building in the heart of Dudley, Summit has an excellent reputation for delivering customer focused interventions.

SS has over 700 registered customers. During 2015/2016 SS delivered 1345 individual interventions; whilst an average of 40 people per month attended our peer support drop-in.

Building Better Opportunities (BBO) is an exciting new multi-million pound programme tackling poverty and social exclusion faced by the most disadvantaged people in England.

Summit Support has been selected as a delivery partner by the Heart of England Community Foundation to work with communities across Dudley and Sandwell.  Our aim is to improve the engagement of disadvantaged groups by targeting our most deprived areas delivering quality support to residents to progress learning, employment and enterprise with wraparound support to meet the needs of vulnerable residents.

The Project Worker is a hands on role that will co-ordinate the programme on a day to day basis; engaging with local people and developing referral pathways.

The BBO Project Worker will deliver high quality interventions with complex, vulnerable adults. The post holder will have strong communication and administration skills, an understanding of the issues faced by our client group and exceptional attention to detail. Experience of working on a ESF project or similar would be an advantage, along with experience of supporting complex and vulnerable adults.

The application form can be found on our website. CV’s are not accepted.

Closing Date: Midnight on Thursday 24th August

Interviews will be held during w/c 28th August
