In House, Client Side Retail Cost Management role. This role is responsible for delivering accurate investment and development costs across a national mixed retail portfolio.

They have a retail portfolio across the length and breadth of the UK totalling well over 1000 stores, and continue to grow.

Description

This role will be an integral part of the central property function for this established retailer. You will join a team of Cost Management experts to lead the delivery of accurate investment cost across a national programme of development. You will be involved with all parts of the capital delivery strategy, from inception of a wide range of projects to completion, driving best value at all times.

Seeking to consistently improve and develop value processes and initiatives across all areas of construction delivery.

This role will work heavily with the Head of Department to develop and actively promote improved cost strategies across a wide range of internal stakeholders and other business streams within the wider group.

Profile

You will be an experienced QS or Cost Manager, with significant exposure to the retail market.

You must be able to demonstrate high expertise in managing construction and fit out cost with the ability to apply creativity in alternative methods of delivery specification.

You will be highly motivated to seek out innovation and improvements within the construction process. Constantly looking for improved areas for value while retaining the quality.

Able to present your ideas and initiatives to internal stakeholders and influence with your knowledge and understanding in cost management and construction methods.

Ideally degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar construction related qualification

MRICS would be preferable but not essential, more important is a positive attitude and drive to succeed.
