The Role

  • Undertaking audits in line with relevant procedures
  • Producing high quality assessment reports or other reports in a timely, in compliance with accreditation requirements and internal procedures
  • Undertaking review of corrective actions and when necessary revert to client for further information / detail
  • Liaison with Certification Core Team regarding the Certification, as necessary.
  • Keeping up to date with legislation and relevant Codes of Practice and approved BRC product category competence.
  • Overseas travel and overnight stays.
  • When required, it may be necessary to attend the Head Office to provide support to certification operations.

A degree (or equivalent qualification e.g. HND and or associated experience) in a relevant subject such as engineering or science. Industry experience according to specific audit protocol / scheme requirements - typically at least five years post-graduation (food/packaging manufacturing, pharmaceutical) HACCP trained – at least Intermediate / Level 3Lead Auditor trained – recognised auditor qualifications in GFSI schemes. A thorough understanding of the application of management systems in a range of organisations, a working knowledge of management systems, i.e. BRC, IFS, FSSC 22000 and their application in a business setting.EQIPT certification – for current BRC auditors, who are interested in widen their competency to BRC Packaging and Packaging Materials. Experience working for Certification Bodies and or with consumer products and pharmaceuticals would be a distinct advantage.Experience with or management of second or third party auditing/assessment, including system level auditing and process level auditing.Understanding of the legal and regulatory framework and requirements of the specified sectors would be an advantageUnderstanding of the principles of good client management and application within the certification business Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and databases
