Technical Trainer – Growing IT Training Provider with an infrastructure background

Homebased but travel will be necessary on a rota basis to conduct testing with apprentices

National travel on a once every 8-10 week rota basis - expenses, subsistence and hotel all paid for

Working for a Supportive employer as part of a team of expert trainers you will be delivering technical training courses where the world lives most; online! As a training provider who genuinely care about the success of their apprentices you will deliver high quality programmes and courses across a range of IT Apprenticeship Standards; inclusive of level 3 & 4 encompassing knowledge, understanding and supporting in workplace competence. In doing so you will be supporting our clients apprentices to BE THE FUTURE!

Your role will be to contribute to the day to day operation of the IT Level 3 & 4 programmes working with the Head of Training & Assessment and the Curriculum Lead ensuring that the curriculum is delivered efficiently and effectively while providing professional and high quality technical training as part of the IT Apprenticeship frameworks and Standards; inclusive of knowledge modules, competency assessment and Functional Skills.

Role and responsibilities over the phone with apprentices will be;

  • To provide professional and high quality training as part of the IT Apprenticeship Standards via our OnLine Live virtual classroom
  • To invigilate exams across the country in our specified exam locations on a rota basis
  • Responsible for the delivery of the programme to the agreed schedule and standards
  • Coach and mentor the learners to enable them to achieve their full potential
  • Manage any re-work of assignments
  • To manage all uploaded leaner work within the agreed timeframes and ensure learner file naming conventions and storage processes are followed
  • To maintain accurate documentation i.e. assessment and marking records
  • This rewarding role is critical to the company’s business growth plans which is to support hundreds of apprentices through their IT and Digital apprenticeships in 2017/2018 all over the country. In 2016 our client helped over 650 learners complete their apprenticeship in IT Pro, Software and Web Development or Social Media and Digital Marketing.
  • Qualifications/skills required:

  • A proven track record of relevant experience of delivering technical training with an infrastructure background
  • Sound Technical Knowledge with an ability to facilitate learning
  • Hold or be willing to work towards relevant vendor qualifications such as Microsoft (MCP, MCSA, MCSE), CompTIA (A+, Network +, Server +) Cisco (CCNA, CCNP), Server+
  • Proven credentials in a driven environment with excellent interpersonal and motivational skills
  • A teaching and/or assessors qualification
  • Experience of delivering of IT apprenticeship frameworks and/or standards
