Purpose of the Project Engineer role:
As a project Engineer you will have responsibility for developing and delivering project solutions from initial concept to delivery and installation. You will take ownership of projects across the UK, so will be required to work with clients and partners building better relationships and project management standards.
Job Duties for the Project Engineer:
·To develop project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans; conferring with management.
·Prepare and distribute Sales/Projects specific drawings for approval / comments.
·Arrange site visit / survey – take site dimensions and check site conditions, i.e. access, logistics, security, health & safety etc. document accordingly.
·Prepare and issue Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
·Check drawings prior to a formal issue to customer for approval to ensure co-ordination with quote and cost sheet(s).
·Liaise upon receipt of a written approval of drawing from client with Engineering & Production.
·Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and schedule changes; recommending actions.
·Confirm and agree delivery/installation commencement date with customers.
·Inform Admin/Logistics of any specific delivery requirements.
·Monitoring project progress, performance and maintain quality to ensure customer satisfaction.
·Control of project costs by approving expenditures; administering contractor contracts.
·Oversee installations as and when necessary, usually on larger projects.
·Attend staff training or hand-over meetings if required.
·Deal with and action any snag item(s), customer queries, complaints, warranty/quality issues etc.
