Due to continued growth and significant investment our client is seeking a Development Engineer with strong data analysis skills and experience in a prototype development environment. You will have an excellent understanding of machinery and thermodynamic performance along with a proficient knowledge of Excel. Strong data analysis skills and knowledge of instrumentation and data acquisition systems will also be required.
The core responsibility of this role will include:
- Collaborate with the engineering team to identify test objectives and specify test programmes
- Supervise testing to ensure validity of methods and integrity of data
- Analyse test data to identify trends and characterise performance
- Prepare technical reports to communicate the findings and provide recommendations for further work
- Contribute to improvement of processes
The successful candidates will have all-round mechanical knowledge with an engineering degree and ideally at least 2 years of industry experience. You will have experience of acoustic testing, Programming in VB & MATLAB and have used LabVIEW and other data analysis software. Working knowledge of CREO or another CAD would be viewed advantageously.
