Our client is a Chartered accountancy firm based in Edgbaston, Birmingham. In keeping with our client’s vision of continuing expansion in the local and regional market, a hybrid Audit Manager role within the firm has been created to work with an established team. The role will entail a number of Audits & Accounts and Business Service account duties.

The key features of the role will be:

Audit & Accounts:

  • Reviewing accounts and audit work
  • Planning and executing audit engagements and ensuring high quality service delivery to clients
  • Tutoring and mentoring more junior staff on a group and one to one basis
  • Taking ownership of client relationships and ensuring smooth engagement planning throughout the year

Business Account Services:

  • Managing ad hoc due diligence assignments
  • Preparing final reports for presentation to clients
  • Preparing and helping deliver presentations on Business Performance & growth service offerings to clients
  • Assisting the Partners in building Business Account Services through networking and up skilling existing staff

The ideal candidate will be:

Dynamic, multidisciplinary and an ambitious self-starter with multi-tasking capacity. Some specific requirements are as follows:

  • Part/ Qualified Accountant or equivalent with PQE ideally in regional or larger firms
  • Exposure to auditing both corporate and charity clients
  • An understanding of business account service offerings with experience of due diligence and/or advisory assignments
  • Solid communication skills to communicate effectively both inside the firm and with clients
