Role objective
*Network Optimisation is responsible for ensuring that the Company meets, maintains and improves levels of service to our customers for clean water delivery. The role provides technical expertise to monitor, evaluate and optimise the water distribution system for our customers.

Key accountabilities
*Provide technical expertise on water distribution assets; mains, boosters, reservoirs and pressure valves
*Advise on water mains renewal designs for asset serviceability
*Investigate levels of service failures
*Promote appropriate TOTEX solutions to resolve identified network deficiencies
*Provide operational advice and support on investment schemes including network impact risk assessments *Analysis and investigation of DG2 (Low pressure), DG3 (Interruptions to supply) target delivery and that compliance with Regulatory and Company reporting methodologies.
*Provide technical information to enable written responses to customer enquiries or complaints to meet DG7 (written complaints) standards Provide technical reports and analysis of hydraulic issues using SynerGEE hydraulic models

*Understanding of hydraulic principles
*Experience of hydraulic modelling
*Experience of network asset operations within an operations or engineering environment .
*Understanding of the Water Regulatory Framework
*Good IT skills including spreadsheets and graphical data

*Ability to be an enthusiastic team player
*Capability to work with minimum supervision - self motivated
*Exceptional standard of written communications skills
*Ability to verbally communicate complex issues to appropriate audience
*Good numeric / analytical skills
*Ability to analyse and problem solve complex issues *Ability to prioritise workloads and deliver against targets

*GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
*BTEC, NVQ or similar qualification in engineering or operational management (Desirable)
