SHIFT - Continental Shift Pattern - 12 Hour Shifts - 3 On 3 Off days and nights

Due to huge development and investments on site, a number of exciting opportunities have arisen for Maintenance Technicians in the Food Processing / Utilities department of our client's flagship factory, which produces household named food products. With this investment the site has grown so can now offer staff real career development and progression as well as stability due to the long term plans for the site. They are a Global food manufacturer and household brand.
We are looking for 3 talented Electrical Bias and Mechanical Bias Maintenance Engineers who have previously worked in complex food, chemical processing environments in order to add their expertise and experience to the already world class manufacturing team. Other backgrounds that are potentially suitable for the successful Maintenance Engineer include pharmaceutical production, power stations, oil refineries, sugar refineries, distilleries, dairy, utilities and breweries.
The successful Maintenance Engineer will have a time served apprenticeship in a relevant Engineering discipline and a higher qualification such as C&G Level 3, NVQ Level 3, ONC/HNC, OND/HND or degree.
Within the role of Maintenance Engineer you with be responsible for the maintenance of site equipment and systems in accordance with health and safety, quality and food hygiene standards. You will provide quick and effective, reactive breakdown maintenance of site equipment as well as being involved in the planned preventative maintenance (PPM) of all equipment. You will also be heavily involved with working with Senior Engineers, Maintenance Planners and Shift Managers to run the maintenance department efficiently and have the opportunity get involved in continuous improvements projects for the site.
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will have previous experience within an Engineering role, a proven history of fault finding, rectification and experience of maintenance techniques. You will have worked with process or chemical equipment including but not exclusive to heat exchangers, ovens/ roasters, boilers, refrigeration, steam, water cooling systems, extruders, metal detectors and a wide variety of pumps and valves as well as having good PLC experience with experience fault finding, diagnosing problems and fixing problems using the PLC's.
