Our client is a very fast paced business, experiencing rapid growth. It is a specialist division of a leading global player within the construction and building materials sector. Our client’s success has been built on delivering cost effective “one stop” value solutions via exceptional service within the highest standards of safety to the concrete and concrete construction accessories sector.

The customer base includes all of the main construction contractors and subcontractors. Our client’s product and service offer includes sourcing of the latest market leading products and a warehousing and multi drop logistics operation which supplies time sensitive, JIT next day delivery of construction and building products and accessories into customers within the London/South East region and to the Midlands and North from its Birmingham and Leeds offices.

As a result of impressive growth, they are now seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead sales into the construction industry and specifically main contractors/sub-contractors, construction sites and merchants.

As Territory Sales Manager for the Midlands:

·You will be accountable for the development and delivery of a territory plan for our client’s specialist waterproofing, concrete accessories and concrete repair solutions into main contractors, sub-contractors, construction sites and merchants.

·This is a field sales role promoting a range of market-leading manufactured and distributed waterproofing, concrete accessories and concrete repair solutions to the main contractors, sub-contractors, construction sites and merchants.

·This is a new business and account development role, e.g. cold calling on building sites, as well as main contractors and sub-contractors to secure “on the spot” sales orders.

·This is a very fast moving transactional and volume sales roles in a highly responsive and service led environment. This will include time sensitive next day delivery or JIT delivery of products week 1 for week 2.

·You will develop and deliver a sustainable territory growth plan effectively utilising sales and marketing resource to optimise existing customer spend at highest marketable value whilst driving and winning new profitable business.

·You will carry out a structured sales process and territory management / journey planning programme

·Analysing weak accounts, GAP analysis and putting together a business plan to identify growth opportunities

·Visiting sub-contractors or main contractors on construction sites

The Ideal Candidate:

·Good standard of education to at least A level/HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent, numerate and commercially astute.

·Experienced dynamic, high energy Field Sales Territory or Area Sales Manager from the

·construction accessories/build site solutions/concrete construction accessories, waterproofing and concrete repair or similar products background.

·Track record of fast moving, time sensitive volume sales delivery into main contractors, sub-contractors and building sites.

·Confidently able to cold call construction sites to secure “on the spot” sales orders.

·Self-motivated, driven and understands value added selling, quality / performance and service over price.

·Must have a track record of stimulating demand for high value products through contractors.

·Experienced focused on fast moving transactional volumes sales for next day or time sensitive JIT deliveries.

·Structured and analytical approach to field sales territory planning, ideally structured sales training (understands GAP analysis, journey planning etc).

·Ideally with some account management experience with medium to large accounts.

·Comfortable visiting construction sites and selling a range of specialist and technical concrete construction accessories and associated products including waterproofing and concrete repair.
