SF Group are currently looking for a IT Director for my leading client based in Worcestershire.

This is a permanent position to develop lead and coordinate all IT activity within the business.

Day to day responsibilities include:

  • A full audit of current IT procedures
  • Help re-implement the ERP system (JD Edwards)
  • Ensures network security policies are met
  • Anticipate future network needs, identifies proactive solutions to satisfy needs
  • Oversees the planning and management of the company communication systems and manages company-wide upgrades where required
  • Continually analyse new software and hardware to determine usefulness and compatibility with the existing or new systems
  • Manages the level of service to internal and external customers to meet the company's expectations
  • Undertakes project feasibility studies based on management's requirements and priorities
  • Achieves desired results through the use of budgets, proper contracts and efficient decision making
  • Keeps senior management advised of industry enhancements that add value to the company
  • Keeps current on new developments in information technology and plans for future upgrades and organisational changes
  • Procures cost effective/value added hardware, software and phone systems
  • Enables/supports the company to effectively participate in E-Commerce

The ideal person will:

  • Ability to interface with all levels of the organisation to accomplish goals of the company and Information Technology personnel
  • Strategic and organisational competence essential
  • French Language skills are desirable
  • Ability to plan and implement systems/projects on time, with in scope and on budget
  • Minimum 7-10 years' experience in Unix and/or Microsoft systems management, global IT operations management, ERP implementation and experience with Oracle, Microsoft SQL or equivalent database experience required
  • Experience with web technology, implementation and maintenance
  • Logical, detailed decision-maker, good listening skills and leadership abilities
  • Masters Degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university
  • SOX Compliance requirements and development and maintenance of IT Security Policies and Compliance
  • Experience of working within a multi-national manufacturing environment essential

This position will pay an annual salary of £60,000 and £70,000 a year and offers the chance to really develop an IT department. If you are interested in this role please apply asap.
