Support Worker jobs, Housing Support, Stoke-On-Trent, flexible hours, competitive pay

Your new company
You will be working in various social housing organisations around the Stoke-On-Trent and Staffordshire area. These organisations are passionate about providing the best service for their clients and supporting them with homelessness, mental health issues, substance misuse, domestic and sexual violence.

Your new role
You will be offered a range of shifts and be working flexibly. This role will be ideal for you if your availability changes regularly and you cannot commit to a permanent shift pattern. You will be providing support to service users and assisting them with their daily living. You will be required to engage with the service users when needed and provide them with advice. The service users are mostly vulnerable adults who may demonstrate challenging behaviour so you need to be prepared to deal with this and reinforce boundaries. This role will be challenging but extremely rewarding.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be enthusiastic and passionate about helping others and trying to make positive changes to people's lives. You will have a positive attitude and be willing to work in a challenging environment. To apply for a role as a Support Worker you will need to have six months recent experience working with young people or adults. Ideally you will hold a relevant Health and Social Care qualification, or be willing to work towards this. As these organisations provide 24 hour support you will be expected to work shifts, these can be early, late, long days or waking nights. To succeed in this role you will need to ensure you are fully flexible.

What you'll get in return
You will be offered competitive rates of hourly pay and have the ability to work flexibly around existing commitments. You will be able to access free Professional Development Training including support enrolling in your QCF or NVQ Level 3, mandatory training and safeguarding. You will receive holiday pay and paid expenses.
