Nights Warehouse Supervisor
Purpose of the Position:To assist the Night Management Team to achieve an organised, accurate and efficient shift throughout the night operation of a business operating 24 hours a day. To take a hands-on approach to supervising, motivating and training a team of night shift order pickers, loaders as well as goods in employees.Ensuring that the operation performs effectively and competently daily and complies with all BRC, Health and Safety and Hygiene regulations.
Key Activities & Responsibilities:
·To supervise all activities during the night operation to ensure all orders are completed accurately and both quality and quantity is accurate, whilst delivering the cost base as per the forecast budgets.
·Using the company’s in-house performance monitor ensure pick rates and accuracy are maintained.
·Where necessary complete CPA forms, which work towards monitoring employee performance.
·Assist the manager to ensure corrective action is taken to help employee performance where necessary.
·Supervise Pickers and help maintain pick performance
·Ensure pick locations are replenished with stock so there is no disruption to the pick.
·To ensure that all orders are picked accurately to the highest standard, with particular attention being given to “Priority Orders” all in the allocated time period.
·To supervise all activities within the warehouse, while ensuring pick sheets are available to allow for the continual work flow.
·To effectively brief the team to ensure daily tasks, quality issues, customer requirements are understood.
·To ensure that all vehicles are loaded safely in readiness for relevant driver start times and all loading documents are completed in line with business procedures.
·To ensure all Goods Inward deliveries are checked, labelled, booked onto operating system and documentation signed for correctly.
·To ensure the necessary paperwork and labels are produced as required by each Sales Order and that pick sheets are fully completed.
·To oversee the checking of shorts, ensuring all suitable and available stock is picked, allowing the admin team to order any shortfalls to fulfil short at time of pick product.
·To ensure all shorts are allocated to correct runs/drivers.
·To ensure a clean and tidy warehouse is continually maintained, and all stacks are level at all times working to a “Clean as you Go” environment.
·To maintain discipline and implement the Company Disciplinary Procedure when required.
·To assist in the development and deployment of systems to maximise the production output and efficiency of the operation.
·To communicate effectively with all other departments.
·To work in a team based environment where all managers/employees work together for the good of the business.·Via both formal and informal meetings ensure that your line manager or the Senior Management are kept updated on any opportunities or threats that could impact the business.·Ensure that all applicable legislation (H&S, Hygiene, BRC, etc.) for a modern food business are in place and adhered to by all and that any violations are reported to the business.·Maintain and contribute to a working knowledge of Freshview Foods policies and regulations
·To ensure that all temperature records are kept up to date and comply with food safety legislation,
·To ensure any equipment issues or damage are reported to a senior manager.
·To ensure chemicals are stored correctly and away from fresh produce.
ØAbility to work under pressure.
ØPast experience of night shift work.
ØPast experience of supervising picking/packing or loading and working in a warehouse environment.
ØGood literary skills and to be able to work from and complete a pre-printed order form.
ØAble to work alone as well as part of a team.
ØSelf motivated and able to work using own initiative.
ØKnowledge of health and safety in the workplace.
ØExperience of manual handling tasks.
ØWilling to learn and undertake training.
ØConfident Handler of people.
ØGood product knowledge.
ØA “can do and will do” attitude.

Hours of work: 40 hours per week over 5 shifts, 9.30pm-6am
Including weekends and bank holidays
