I am currently recruiting for a manufacturing business based in Nechells who are looking for a Technical Administrator

This would suit someone with good client customer service with experience materials buying or quoting for parts/products

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

·Dealing with incoming enquiries

·Preparation of estimates and quotations in a timely manner, ensuring products are produced and sourced efficiently taking into account quality and cost

MAIN TASKS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

Main tasks ·Dealing with all sales enquiries received via email, telephone, internal account sales staff or via the website.

·Producing comprehensive quotation, taking into account:-

·To be manufactured or sub-contracted

If manufacture:-

Ensure correct drawings or specifications of products are available

Ensure correct tooling currently available, machine type, running time required,

Production time scheduling for lead times

material source and costs including labour costs and postage

profit margins required

if sub-contracted out:-

ensure supplier is approved

costs

availability & delivery

·Pass quotation for progressing to Customer Sales Co-ordinator

·Develop effective supplier relationships in order to negotiate best prices and delivery times.

·Maintain a data base of suppliers and products

·Develop and ensure up to date understanding of materials, products and machinery and knowledge of the company and the products offered.
