Our client who is one of the UK's leading car parts distributors has appointed Staffbase to recruit a Parts Sales Advisor to join their busy, friendly and expanding team in Birmingham.

The Role

- Receive customer enquiries via phone, email or other media
- Maximise parts profitability through the use of professional sales techniques
- Process parts orders efficiently
- Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction
- Contribute to departmental compliance with company policies and industry guidelines

Key Tasks

- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of new or updated parts and ensure parts bulletins, lists and catalogues are read and stored.
- Qualify customer needs and recommend appropriate products and services. Sell additional parts and services in a professional manner.
- Process parts orders efficiently
- Ensure all paperwork, documentation and parts requisitions are completed accurately.
- Ensure all credit sales transactions are to an authorised signatory or approved account, and cash and cheque payments are received and stored securely.
- Place special orders as necessary, balancing the needs of economy and speed of delivery according to parts manager guidelines.
- Source the availability of additional parts from external suppliers.
- Search for part numbers using the Electronic Parts Catalogue (EPC's)

The Candidate
The successful candidate Must have at least 2 years experience in a Parts Advisor role, using EPC systems with good vehicle knowledge.

You will offer first class communication either face to face, via the telephone, email and internal communication systems.
You will have a keen eye for detail and you will provide accurate readings and quotations for our clients. IT literate with ability to navigate electronic and online parts catalogues.
You will have strong organisation skills with the ability to work under your own initiative.

Hours of Work

Monday to Friday 8.30am -5.30pm
Every other Saturday - 8.30am-1.30pm
