Rail-Ability specialises in the modification & manufacture of bespoke plant, machinery & equipment predominantly for the rail industry. We require additional skilled Hydraulics Assembly Technicians with Machine Development and Engineering knowledge as well as experience in Hydraulic Machine Manufacturing favourably in construction or haulage or agricultural equipment.

A Rail-Ability Assembly Fitter, under instruction of Line Manager/ Design team, would be expected to routinely undertake the following key tasks:-

·Build hydraulic systems up from hydraulic schematics produced by the designers in the office.

·Design and build up hydraulic systems to a requirements list for less complex applications.

·Cut/Crimp Hydraulic hose assemblies to a build sheet or to a systems hydraulic circuit specification.

·Cutting and bending of steel pipe work to drawings and fit to machines.

·Assembly of Pneumatic systems as required

·Manually fitting lightweight components

·Fitting heavier components with mechanical aids/ cranes

·Perform tasks in varied environments, predominately workshop/ bench based, however elements of working outside, working at height and/or in confined spaces could occasionally be required.

·Handling of oils/ fuels/ grease adhering to COSHH procedures and PPE requirements.

·Safe operation of plant and workshop equipment/ tooling (training supplied, experience beneficial).

·Safe operation of lifting equipment, cranes, and slinging items (training supplied, experience beneficial).

·Safe and efficient operation of Hand tooling, 110v power tools and air tools (training supplied, experience beneficial).

·Demonstrate good housekeeping skills to maintain a clean, organised and hazard free work area.

·Adhere to all company health and safety and PPE requirements
