Our products go through rigorous tests before hitting our shelves. First off, we need to assess if they meet both legal and safety requirements. After that it's down to quality. Quality Assurance helps put in place the processes and procedures that make our purchasing decisions well-informed.
From designing templates that allow a panel to test a new product in a more unified and objective way, to scientifically analysing what goes into a product, as a Quality Assurance Manager you'll help ensure only the best is chosen for our stores.
A Hardlines Quality Manager is required to work with a defined Buying team responsible for a managing a diverse range of Hardlines commodity groups.
You will liaise with and manage the Hardlines technical service provider to ensure that products launched are safe, legal and meet the defined quality standards. You must have a good understanding of EU laws and be able to interpret legislation as it relates to product functionality.
The manager should be able to define simple test plans for product testing on tender and pre-production samples. The role has two direct reports who undertake internal product assessments on product samples.
The candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced cross-functional environment with a good track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. Candidates should have experience in multiple Hardlines areas and be degree qualified in Product Design/Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical).
