A truly superb opportunity has become available for a PRODUCTION ENGINEER to join a well-established and immensely respected manufacturing organisation.

This is a solid, very busy manufacturing organisation, who supply into many different industry sectors, such as automotive, motor-sport and marine sectors.

DUTIES:

- Lead the process of manufacturing engineering from new project stage to project launch
- Identification of manufacturing needs for new products in development
- Design new systems and processes, and provide facilities and methods to ensure successful integration of new products or the improvement of existing ones
- Provide assistance with shop-floor layout and cell designs
- Improve manufacturing efficiency by analysing and planning work flow, space requirements and equipment layout
- Define, record and communication manufacturing routes and production documentation such as assembly instructions
- Ensure product and process quality meets specification
- Examine and tender for new equipment
- Review and document cycle times for process
- Design fixtures and tooling for assembly
- Ensure correct tooling and processes are applied during manufacturing
- Report down times
- Support and lead continuous improvements, problem solving and process improvement activities
- Poke Yoke

REQUIREMENTS:

- You will have experience of Production Engineering from within a volume manufacturing environment
- To be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of manufacturing processes
- Understand lean manufacturing and Business Improvement Tools
- To have the ability to work in a diverse and dynamic working environment
- Strong PC skills, MRP would be beneficial
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills
