Contract Technical Consultant// Technical Project Manager: Birmingham: £200 - £280 per day (6 months)

Broster Buchanan are working exclusively with a key client who are looking for a contract Technical Consultant to be responsible for ensuring you lead the deployment of all aspects of IT into the business transformation programme, in line with project management methodology, to achieve a successful outcome. A key dependency of the programme is the front office broadband upgrades and subsequent telephony refresh, moving to VoIP.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage the overall planning, control, status reporting, stability and project delivery for IS/IT (telephony, WAN, LAN, Structured Cabling, PoS, Desktop, Laptop)
- Controlling a small team of matrix managed resources.
- Project delivery on time, on budget, within scope and within agreed quality standards and to internal stakeholder's satisfaction.
- Build strong working relationships and ensure delivery of appropriate communication to all stakeholders (including programme and project managers)
- Formal communications (briefings, flash reports, etc.) with the team and to key stakeholders (including IT Management).
- Take and collate all data from Internal and External IT suppliers involved in the delivery of the VoIP and Transformation projects. Consolidate and process this information into meaningful reports.
- Accountable for development and maintenance of detailed IT project plans, sharing subsets with local stakeholders.
- Be able to get involved and help in the delivery. This role is hands on as well as a coordination roll.

Experience:

- Experience of systems and telephony preferred, but candidates who have a variety of experience and accustomed to similar fast paced environments will be considered
- Strong knowledge of a variety of technologies and channels used within a network, telephony and VoIP environment specifically CISCO technologies, Structured Cabling, patching, FTTC, FTTP, Leased lines, ADSL, Thin Client, Meraki Wi-Fi, Mobile telephony, MDM and App deployment (MaaS360 desirable). Any experience with Contact Centres would also be advantageous.
- Project Management and Stakeholder Management is essential.
- Experience of managing 3rd party telecoms suppliers is essential.
- Managing a similar project would be desirable but not essential.
- ITIL foundation is desirable
- Accreditation in any of the disciplines would be desirable but not essential.
