Title: Property Management Assistant

Location: Newcastle-under-Lyme

Salary: Circa £16,000 plus £2,000 potential bonus

Hours: Monday - Friday - 9am - 5:30pm (37.5 hours per week)

Do you have experience in dealing with residential and commercial property management? Are you used to dealing with tenants and property management issues?

Our client is a busy firm of Chartered Surveyors based in Newcastle-under-Lyme and are seeking an experienced Property Management Assistant to support the Property Management Co-ordinator.

The Role

As the Property Management Assistant, your role will include looking after an extensive portfolio of residential and commercial properties. When required, you will also assist in agency related tasks when necessary.

Key responsibilities of this varied and interesting role also include:

- Collection of rent and preparation of rent invoices
- Dealing with property management issues i.e. repairs and matters of maintenance and where required liaising with contractors
- Preparing and tendering schedules of works
- Interviewing, referencing and administrating potential tenants
- Financial management of the department
- Attending networking and other events in line with company marketing strategy
- Putting properties on the market that become vacant and form part of the management portfolio, which includes formulating and implementing a marketing strategy and monitoring the process to the point of a tenant taking occupation
- Other matters associated with the Agency department as and when required

The Person

This position would be a perfect fit for a candidate with previous experience in a similar role.

As the Property Management Assistant, you will regularly use computers and related hardware such as printing/scanning equipment, photocopiers, cameras and tape measures. Software packages used will include Microsoft Office, Jupix and T & H although training will be given if necessary.

This role will require driving to and from properties, within the local area and there for it is essential that you hold a full driving license and have access to your own transport.

As a key member of the team, you will contribute towards the smooth running of the company portfolio and client care. A high level of competence in analytical skills, organisational skills, attention to detail and communication is required to be successful in this position.

You will also be capable of managing your own work load effectively and you will be required to work to deadlines and be confident working alone and as part of the team.

You must also be able to confidently and effectively communicate with the public, clients and suppliers. A warm and friendly personality is a must have for this position.
