Head Of Network Services

A great time to join a long standing and profitable IT company based in the West Midlands, acting as Head Of Network Services. This is a permanent position with a salary circa of £70 - 82k per annum.

The Role

Accountable for the IT Shared Services (ITSS) Network Services, integrating internal teams, external partners and 3rd parties to provision, maintain and support Network Services offerings across multiple Customers.

Key Responsibilities

- Work closely with the ITSS management team to translate Business activities and ambitions into an operating plan for the function that supports the overall departmental and business goals

- Undertakes market analysis to identify and drive strategic productivity improvements around networks and telephony services

- Defines and delivers a continuous improvement strategy that improves system availability and performance

- Oversees planning for strategic (3 year plan) networks and telephony infrastructure upgrades required to ensure that technology is future proofed and meets Business needs. Ensures that there is a robust supporting business case with secured funding to deliver required changes in a timely manner

- The Head of Network Services should be experienced in managing operational IT relationships with industry leading service providers and providing infrastructure as part of outsourced or Shared Services, with strong ITIL exposure

- Responsible for overall performance of the Network Services Team

- Ensure the Network Services technology is compliant with relevant Security and Regulatory requirements

- Ensure that suppliers manage patches, maintenance releases and all major product enhancement releases to networks and telephony service components in line with agreed approach

Qualifications / Skills

- Management or Business formal qualification
- Relevant ITIL qualifications beyond 'Foundation' level
- Minimum PRINCE2 Foundation training
- Maintains Customer Satisfaction/engagement training
