Location: Birmingham

You will be responsible for the delivery of support changes & defect fixes across a portfolio of wider credit risk applications. You will support any audit / regulatory interim IT fixes and lead and manage a larger support team. You will provide required leadership to ensure support IT solutions are delivered across a yearly based release calendar. You will liaise with key stakeholders in the UK, Germany and US, and development groups in Asia and Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

- Accountable for ensuring support team delivers post release support IT changes solution / Support Level 3 (SL3) ticket fixes across wider portfolio of Credit Risk applications
- Coordinate with production team and change/application teams to ensure the right solutions are delivered for prioritized post release tickets/change demands
- Champion and drive any improvements / enhancements required in the support process in consultation with production services and change management teams
- Balance the resource capacity across the portfolio and ensure resources are fungible to achieve required delivery
- Responsible for ensuring project status and costs are kept up-to-date in the project management tool with key risks/issue/dependencies captured
- Lead and manage the support team by being a point of contact for application teams and for respective business stakeholders
- Ensuring the delivery is in accordance with the functional and quality requirements of the client and other stakeholders.
- Lead and drive the required delivery governance ensuring the right participants for decision making and direction
- Actively supports the function strategy, plans and values, contributing to the achievement of a high performance culture. Personally contributes in an environment where people development is the number one priority
- Takes ownership for own career management, seeking opportunities for continuous development of personal capability and improved performance contribution

Skills and Qualifications:

- Degree from an accredited college or university ideally with an IT-related concentration (or equivalent diploma or work experience)
- Participation and/or completion in Project Management certification programs (PRINCE2 & PMI)
- Extensive experience in Project Management, preferably within a Financial Services environment
- Knowledge of Project Management industry best practices ( Waterfall & Agile) and tools
- Excellent communication skills and strong stakeholder management skills up to senior level
- Experience of post release support process
- Experience of leading a team
- Experience of vendor management
- Experience of Quality Management techniques
- Structured in approach and well organized
- Good analytical and problem solving experience
- Intermediate knowledge of business analysis methods and tools
- Ability to identify and interpret stakeholders needs and requirements
- Ability to work in virtual teams and matrix organizations
- Ability to commit and prioritize work duties and tasks
- Ability to share information, transfer knowledge and expertise to team members
