Sales Account Manager - Construction, Based in Adlington, Cheshire, Salary c£27-33k OTE dependant on skills & experience + Excellent benefits package.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Account Manager to join the market leader in its sector, a UK manufacturer, selling direct into the construction industry. The company is fast growing and can offer career progression and development opportunities for the right candidate. Primarily office based, this is focussed on account management and the growth and development of these accounts.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record and experience in successful account management and sales from within a competitive B2B environment. Experience of selling into the construction sector would be highly advantageous.

Sales Account Manager Key Duties;

- Account Management - Maintaining fruitful relationships with existing customers to ensure the maximisation of revenues on all accounts.
- Contribute as required to the identification of new sales leads and pitching products/services and solutions to senior decision makers (Managing Directors; Procurement Managers; Site Managers) within target organisations, primarily within the construction sector, and closing the deal.
- Qualify, assess and convert inbound enquiries or decide on appropriate course of action.
- Develop and grow the Salesforce CRM database of current, new and prospective customers.
- Working to targets and hitting KPIs on a weekly, monthly and annual basis.

Candidate requirements;

- A proven track record in an Account Manager or sales role from within a competitive B2B environment.
- Experience of selling into the construction sector would be highly advantageous.
- Experience of personally delivering within a telephone based sales team to achieve agreed performance standards.
- Experience of building relationships with senior procurement professionals or business owners in B2B solution sales.
- Demonstrated ability to assess sales opportunities and move prospects through a sequence of events to develop and progress a sales cycle.
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly to hit the ground running.
- Proven skills in the use of MS Office and Sales CRM systems.
