This highly regarded commercial organisation based in Staffordshire are looking to recruit a Senior Category Manager to take ownership of key categories of Indirect spend and help drive best practice procurement across the organisation. Your new role
This exciting job opportunity will appeal to a Procurement professional with the ability to act as a true ambassador for procurement across the organisation. As a key strategic driver for procurement, you will have the confidence to work independently and demonstrate a drive to succeed. You will have the ability to build and develop effective relationships with key internal stakeholders demonstrating a full understanding of their drivers & requirements and identifying and providing appropriate support & solutions. You will be involved in the negotiations with key suppliers and will have the ability to influence decision makers. You will be managing commercial negotiations and negotiating significant contracts across range of indirect spend.
What you'll need to succeed
With best-in-class procurement experience from a fast-moving working environment, you will have experience of end to end category management across a varied spend portfolio and of managing and influencing a range of challenging stakeholders. With exceptional influencing and relationship-building skills, you will ideally be degree educated or CIPS qualified and have the credibility and gravitas to secure buy-in and embed best-practice procurement.
