My client is a technology focused organisation looking for a Junior Support Engineer with a computing or related degree to join their Help desk team. This is an urgent requirement so please get in touch ASAP.

The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years 1st line Support experience in a help desk environment and looking for career progression into 2nd line. This is a fantastic opportunity for IT Graduates or those who've finished an apprenticeship with commercial experience.

Job Purpose:

To provide 1st line user, desktop and network support and be responsible on a day to day basis for monitoring the backups and the off-site storage of tapes.
Key Responsibilities:

Business Support
- 1st Line User and Wintel Support for Derby and London
- User Account Management (Active Directory)
- Client VPN Support
- Document Management Support & Workspace Creation

- Installation and management of local desktop software.
- Management of nightly backups and off-site tape storage.
- Deployment and management of mobile devices.
- Deployment of Windows patches using WSUS
- Management of AV/Malware signature deployment and updates

Technical knowledge to include:
- Microsoft Active Directory
- Windows Server 2012
- Windows 7
- McAfee E-Policy Orchestrator
- HPE Data Protector
- Basic Networking including troubleshooting

- Presentation
