The Product Sales Manager’s role is to actively promote the sales of a wide range of specialist smart-technology products including home automation, AV, integration products, CCTV.

The role encompasses all aspects of

Internal and external business development and smart technology product promotion;

Proactive selling, marketing, literature production and training.

Purchasing and negotiation with suppliers. Stock management

Technical sales support

The role is very much to create and manage your own "business within a business".

Primary Objectives:

  1. Seek out new product opportunities
  2. Provide day to day technical and sales support to internal sales team
  3. Provide technical assistance to external sales force via joint visits
  4. Manage supplier relations at local level
  5. Create profitable sales of products within your portfolioSeek out new customers and markets

    Create profitable sales of specialist products within your portfolio:

  6. Create a clear sales strategy for the business relevant to your product

  • Proactively promote yourself and your product range directly to our customer base
  • Actively chase relevant quotations with our sales team

Seek out new customers and markets:

  • To identify and proactively approach other markets and customers where automation products are being installed on a regular basis
  • To identify and seek out end user customers where we can sell our Smart-tech products and service offering
  1. Seek out new product opportunities:
  • Review market news and trends to seek out new products
  • Seek out new suppliers and manufacturers and encourage innovation
  • Negotiate support for new product launches
  • Liaise with customers to identify needs
  • Promote new products to all customers both directly and via the sales team
  1. Provide day to day technical and sales support to internal sales team:
  • Be available for internal sales team to provide technical data
  • Assist with product selection, sourcing, pricing decisions and quotations
  • Produce and circulate customer price lists as appropriate for your product range
  • Encourage proactive promotion of your product range into customers
  • Provide product information and marketing to assist the above
  • Encourage a deeper level of product knowledge and understanding
  • Visit purchasing customers to expand breadth of product taken
